Queensway MMM1331 Installation and Advancement

On Friday 6th September Queensway Lodge held their regular Installation ceremony at Prescot Masonic Hall. It was well attended with 11 members and 6 guests, with VW Bro Eric Drinkwater representing the RW PGM as the appointed representative Michael Winterbottom had been taken ill rather suddenly but is now recovering well. Including in the guest list were three acting provincial officers, W. Bro David Rigby PGSW, W. Bro Les Norton PrGAlmoner, and W. Bro Eric Poole PrGSD.
The installation of W. Bro Alan Scarrott PPrGADC was conducted by W. Bro. John Askew in a Fault less manner. After being presented by W. Bro David Richards who acted as DC on the night due to the absence of the DC .
 
The Address to the wardens was delivered by W. Bro David Rigby the Provincial Grand Senior Warden who also gave the address to the Overseers. VW Bro. Eric Drinkwater gave the address to the brethren. W. Bro John Askew the Installing Master gave the address to the newly Installed Master.
 
Immediately after the Installation of the officers the Lodge conducted an Advancement ceremony when Bro Mark Lamb a serving Army Sergeant was advanced into the degree.
 
The ceremony was conducted at the request of the newly installed Master by W. Bro. John Askew in the most exemplary manner with W. Bro. David Richards acting as Senior Deacon. With The Provincial Grand Senior Warden taking the Senior Wardens chair.
The ceremony was a faultless display of Mark Masonry and was an honour to witness and be part of.
The other newly advanced member of the Lodge Bro. Carl Farber was presented with his Grand Lodge certificate by W. Bro. Eric Drinkwater.
 
At the festive board immediately after the ceremonies Bro Mark the newest member was welcomed by his proposer and presented with his ritual book.
 
All in all it was a splendid evening which was enjoyed by all who attended.
